Hon'ble President Ram Nath Kovind Inaugurates First Gyan Kumbh at Patanjali University
President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the first Gyan Kumbh at the Patanjali University. He said it is the responsibility of all to ensure that every child is educated and that the teachers inculcate in students the knowledge about India's heritage and culture.
President Ram Nath Kovind encouraged people from all sections of the society to participate and contribute in the field of education. Kovind inaugurated the two-day Gyan Kumbh at the Patanjali University.
He asked the participants to address the challenges in the field of education and to find a solution to these challenges.
Kovind congratulated the efforts of the varsity for organising the event. Various ministers of the state, higher education secretaries and vice-chancellors of many universities were a part of the event.

He added that it is everyone's responsibility in the country to ensure that every child gets a formal education and along with they are also taught about the rich heritage and culture of our society. He cited the examples of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Dalit icon B.R. Ambedkar and their outstanding contribution in the field of education. Education is one such tool that can help overcome many other challenges and problems faced by a nation.
Kovind also talked about the importance of educating girls for building a more progressive society. According to him, the times are changing and women are getting equal opportunities as men both in academics and in the professional world.

The University of Patanjali -UoP is named after the great Indian sage Patanjali. The varsity is located on Delhi Haridwar National Highway. It offers many certificates, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Ayurveda and Yoga studies.
