APTET 20% Weightage Marks for AP DSC 2024 Calculation: The Department of School Education, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is all set to conduct AP TET 2024 examination in computer-based test mode from October 3 to 21, 2024. In the recruitment process for teachers by the State Government, 20% of the evaluation will be based on Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scores, while the remaining 80% will be determined by the performance in the Written Test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT). Selection lists will be prepared based on these criteria. It's important to note that meeting the TET qualification alone does not guarantee employment, as it is just one of the eligibility requirements for teacher appointments.

How to Calculate APTET 20% Weightage Marks for AP DSC 2024?

For the reference of candidates, here is an illustration displaying the calculation of APTET 20% weightage marks for AP DSC 2024-

AP TET Total Marks :  150 marks

AP TET Obtained Marks :  120 marks

Calculation for 20% weightage  = (Obtained marks / Total marks ) X 20

                                                   = (120 / 150) X 20

                                                   =  17.3

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the written test. Candidates who have previously passed APTET must also take the integrated test to be eligible for teaching positions in government, Zilla Praja Parishad, Mandal Praja Parishad, Municipality, or Tribal Welfare Schools. These candidates will receive a 20% weightage for their earlier TET score, as per the original TET notification.

For this 20% weightage, candidates have the option to consider 20% of their earlier TET scores or 20% of their present marks, whichever is higher. Going forward, the Integrated Test will only be valid for the specific recruitment it was taken for. In the case of appointments in private/unaided schools or other educational institutions, the Integrated Test Certificate will be valid for one year. A certificate will be issued to candidates who meet the minimum requirement in the Integrated Test by obtaining at least 60% marks for OC category candidates, 50% for BC category candidates, and 40% for SC/ST/Differently abled (PH) & Ex-servicemen.
