HRD Minister to Inaugurate National Museum Institute New Campus
Prakash Javadekar, MHRD Minister will inaugurate the new the campus of the National Museum Institute on 30th Jan 2019 at 11 a.m. The NMI will offer various short term, postgraduate and doctoral courses in the field of art and cultural heritage.
Prakash Javadekar, MHRD Minister will inaugurate the new campus of the National Museum Institute on 30th Jan 2019 at 11 a.m. The newly established National Museum Institute is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The National Museum Institute has been one of the prominent centres in the country for research and training in the field of art and cultural heritage since its inception. The NMI offer courses in Master of Arts, Ph.D. in the field of Conservation and Museology and History of Art.
New Courses at National Museum Institute:
Apart from this, National Museum Institute is also planning to launch four new courses which include:
- Cultural & Heritage Management
- Structural Conservation
- Palaeography, Epigraphy and Numismatics
- Archaeology

The institute will also start various short-term courses whose duration will be five months. Art Appreciation and Bhartiya Kalanidhi (Hindi), which are very popular, are also conducted by the Institute to impart knowledge about the country's tangible and intangible heritage. These courses will help provide students with an insight into Indian heritage.

As of now, the National Museum Institute is functional from the first floor of National Museum Janpath. For the establishment of the National Museum Institute at Noida, funding of Rs.90 crore was sanctioned by the authority.
