HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar Stresses on Improving the Education of Muslim Population
Prakash Javadekar Union Human Resources Development Minister stressed on providing quality education for Muslims in India.
Inaugurating the 20th All India Urdu Book fair in Bhiwandi on December 17, 2016, Prakash Javadekar Union Human Resources Development Minister stressed on the fact of providing quality education for Muslims population of the country.

Addressing a huge gathering, at the Rais Campus in Bhiwandi, mainly comprising students who had come to buy books from publishing houses across the country, the minister said the country would not progress until quality education is provided to Muslims and they are lagging behind.
The minister further said that government believes in providing the good education for everyone. The Government schools should offer the good education to stop the dropout from the school by the time students reach class 9th. He also told his resolve to stop this and challenges he took to improve the quality of education in Government schools in vernacular medium.
Javadekar talked about a five-year plan to impart impetus to the Urdu Language. These steps includes -
- Give advertisements in Urdu newspapers
- Start an online Urdu course
- Publication of Urdu books and journals
The minister also told Government's resolve to give an impetus to Farsi and Arabic languages. A considerable section of the people goes to countries where these two languages are spoken. He feels glad that these courses have become popular now- a-days in India.

Talking about the facilities introduced by the Central government he said that by March next year amendments will be done to the Right to Education Act (RTE) combining all government schools. He also stressed on improving the education at the community level.
