Hyderabad-based University Awards Honorary Degree to Shah Rukh Khan

Ruling Bollywood and inspiring the entertainment world are not the only activities that Shah Rukh Khan is interested in. Education has always been a significant part in the actor’s life.

The actor is recognized by the nation as a reputed alumni of DU’s Hansraj College and was also given an Honorary Doctorate degree at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad. The degree was awarded to him by President Pranab Mukherjee.

SRK was the Guest of Honor at the convocation ceremony of the university. He also gave a motivational speech at the university and inspired the students to embrace creativity in their lives. The students were thrilled to interact with the actor.

Talking about his experience, SRK said that he was very happy to receive this honor. He added that his mother would have been ecstatic to know that he was awarded this honor in Hyderabad as it is her birthplace.

Shah Rukh Khan was also presented with the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa in 2015. It was awarded to him by the University Chancellor HRH The Princess Royal in Edinburgh where he gave a speech that was highly appreciated by the gathering.

SRK has been quite popular for his educational yet humorous speeches. The actor has also studied Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia and later went on to National School of Drama, Delhi in his early acting days after he entered Bollywood.
