IBPS Retains Kannada Language in Banking Exams
The central government has re-introduced the Kannada language along with 20 other Indian Languages for the IBPS PO 2019 examination. The students who have studied in Indian-Languages medium to be benefited.
The centre has retained the Kannada Language for the (IBPS PO) 2019 examination after facing pressure from the state leaders of Karnataka. The decision of retaining the Kannada language as one of the Banking IBPS PO exam languages has relieved the Banking PO aspirants in Karnataka who has studied in Kannada medium.
In the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Probationary Officer (IBPS PO) 2019 examination, the central government had scrapped the Kannada Langauge recently. The decision was criticised by Kannadigas, Activists and Karnataka’s ruling and opposing parties equally.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. Kumarswami communicated with the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the issue and quick actions were taken to retain Kannada in the IBPS PO examination.
The central government has decided to hold the examinations in all the 22 official languages of India including Kannada, Hindi, and English. All the papers except the English Language Test in IBPS PO examinations will be multilingual and the IBPS PO 2019 candidates will be able to choose their language of preference for the examinations.

The IBPS PO 2019 Prelims Examinations are set to be held on 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th October 2019 which will be followed by the Mains exam on 30th November 2019.
This is a good piece of news for Kannadiga candidates to take banking exams in Kannada. There was a lot of hue and cry regarding the same, but with quick action taken against it by the state leader and Union Minister, the Kannadiga candidates are at peace now.
