ICAI Holds Annual Convocation, Certificates Awarded to 2,500 Students
- ICAI convocation ceremony took in over eight locations across the country on January 24, 2018.
- A felicitation ceremony was conducted for the rank holders of recent CA examination.
The annual convocation ceremony of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI) took place on January 24, 2018. Over 2,500 new members have been awarded certificates and felicitation ceremony was conducted for the rank holders of the recent CA examination. Apart from New Delhi, the convocation ceremony was conducted at eight other centres across India and four other regions including south, west, east and central regions of ICAI.
Secretary to Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Injeti Srinivas was the chief guest at the ceremony. Congratulating the new CAs, honourable minister hailed ICAI for playing a prime role in nation building. The newly inducted students have more responsibilities and they should feel empowered. Every CA must remember that CA Act enables to safeguard and protect the CA professionals from unnecessary interferences, he added.

Vice-President of ICAI, Mr. Naveen termed the convocation ceremony as a special occasion for newly qualified Charted Accountants. Every CA professional must note that they need to bring glory to their profession and nation through their dedication, commitment and sincerity. It is time for the new CAs to take many responsibilities and one must be prepared for the challenges and hurdles, he highlighted.
ICAI organises convocation ceremony twice a year to award certificate to newly enrolled members as Charted Accountants (CAs).
