ICAI Waives off Practical Training Condonation Fee of CA Candidates
ICAI has decided to waive off the practical training Condonation fee of CA applicants as it was observed that students were facing hardships while filling the application forms for practical training.
Due to the nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of COVID-19, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) observed that the students are facing difficulties in filling up of application forms related to practical training within the prescribed time. The delay is causing a levy of condonation fee upon them.
Therefore, ICAI has decided to waive off the condonation fee considering the difficulties faced by the students. ICAI released an official statement, considering the hardship faced by the CA applicants, it has been decided to waive off the condonation fee on delay filling of all articles or industrial training related application forms till 30th June 2020. The fee will be waived off if the transaction date in such application forms is between 1st March 2020 to 30th May 2020. The period includes 1 month prescribed time limit provided in general.
Meanwhile, ICAI released another statement stating that the ICAI will start the revision classes for the applicants who will appear in the June 2020 exams. The revision classes will start on April 22, and it will benefit the students who are in their intermediate and final level of the CA program.
The revision classes will be free of cost and students are not required to register in advance for the same. To attend the revision classes, students just have to click on the link provided for each class on the ICAI website and attend the class.
The CA exam which was to take place on March 28 will now be held in June-July due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
