ICAI Allows Provisional Registration for Class 12th Students
ICAI allows students to register for the CA course and has decided to relax the eligibility criteria of the course due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
ICAI registrations for the CA course are open, and the deadline to submit the form has already been extended. As Class 12th students register for the Foundation course of CA, ICAI has relaxed the eligibility norms for the same. CBSE and ICSE exams which were to take place in July have been cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak in India. Therefore, ICAI has come up with a norm through which Class 12th students can provisionally register for the CA course.
Candidates who have their admit card of class 12th exam and those who have appeared for one or two papers are qualified to register for the CA foundation course. The exams for the CA Foundation which was scheduled to take place on June 27, 29, and July 1 &3 have also been postponed. Interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website of ICAI and register themselves for the Chartered accountable (CA) Foundation courses. The registration date for the ICAI CA foundation exam has been extended till 30th August 2020. The council informed that is a one-time activity due to the ongoing crisis of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, ICAI has told the Apex Court that it will require more time to assess the feasibility of conducting CA exams scheduled to be held between July 29 and August 16. The Supreme Court said that it will hear this matter on July 10.

The official notification also states that after passing the Senior Secondary (10 + 2) exam, candidates who will register provisionally may appear in the November 2020 Foundation examination.
