ICFAI Founder NJ Yasaswy Conferred Visionary eduPRENEUR Award
- The ‘Visionary eduPRENEUR of India’ award was conferred on Founder of ICFAI Group, Late NJ Yasaswy.
- Former President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee conferred the award for the Founders success in establishing a renowned institute.
Chairperson of ICFAI Society, Sobha Rani Yasaswy received the prestigious ‘Visionary eduPRENEUR of India’ from former President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. The award was conferred on December 11, 2017, at a ceremony held at Civil Services Officer’s Institute (CSOI), New Delhi. The award was posthumously conferred on Founder of ICFAI Group, Late NJ Yasaswy.
Shobha Rani expressed her happiness for receiving the prestigious award from Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. She indicated that ICFAI is committed to producing children with values and commitment, which will enable them to lead a happy life. ICFAI has immense pleasure and satisfaction to deliver value-based education. She felt happy that ICFAI is playing a vital role in nation-building.
On 83rd birthday of Pranab Mukherjee, he was declared as ‘Education President’ of India. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee urged the educators to focus on inclusivity, technology, cultural relevance as well as result-oriented and value-based initiatives.

Chairperson of ReTHINK India Foundation, Mr. RK Vaish said that ReTHINK India considers and welcomes the magnificent contributions of the late NJ Yasaswy. Visionaries like NJ Yasaswy live on for ages through their exception vision compiled in strong creations serving in society for long, he highlighted.
Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi, Mr. Manish Sisodia and renowned academicians, attended the event.
Late NJ Yasaswy established ICFAI Group in the year 1985 as a singular institute, without governmental sops or institutional funding. Today, ICFAI Group is spread across 16 states with 9 ICFAI Business Schools, 7 tech schools, 5 law schools etc.
