ICMAI Waives CMA Course Fees for Students of Kashmir and North- Eastern States
ICMAI waives off the CMA course for the students from Kashmir and North Eastern states. The decision to waive off course fee has been taken to promote the course widely and to witness active participation from across the nation.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has decided to waive off the CMA course for the students from Kashmir and North Eastern states. ICMAI took the decision to promote the course so that more and more candidates participate in the course which will ultimately help in the nation-building mission of the government.
According to the decision taken by the ICMAI, the first 200 candidates from Kashmir who take admission in the CMA Foundation/ Intermediate course will be given a 100 percent fee waiver in the course fee. For the rest of the candidates of Kashmir 50 percent of the course, the fee will be waived.
In addition to the same, ICMAI has waived off 75 percent fee for the candidates taking admission in the CMA Foundation/ Intermediate course in any of the eight North Eastern States of India- Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura
Institute of Cost Accountants of India Secretary, CMA Kaushik Banerjee informed that the fee waiver scheme will continue until further notification regarding the same. This initiative of the institute will witness the participation of the deserving students who were unable to do so due to financial constraints.

Meanwhile, ICMAI issued a notice to all the students and non-members informing them not to use prefix CMA with their names. Only Fellow Members (FCMA) and Associate Members (ACMA) of the Institute can officially use CMA as a prefix to their name.
