ICSE Class 10 English Literature Exam Pattern 2024: The question paper for ICSE English Literature has four sections and seven questions. All sections have an equal weightage of 16 marks. The first section of the paper has MCQs covering the entire syllabus of the subject. However, Section B is based on The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare while Section C and Section D are Prose and Poetry respectively from Treasure Trove - A Collection of ICSE Poems and Short Stories. ICSE English Paper 2 is solely textbook-based as opposed to its Paper 1 counterpart.

Four of these sub-questions are worth 3 marks while one sub-question will be for four marks. The student has to answer at least one question from each of these three sections.
