IFIM Business School to Launch First AACSB Accredited BBA Course
IFIM Business School will be starting a BBA course at its Greater Mumbai campus. The first batch of the programme will begin in September 2019 and the applications will be out in May 2019.
The IFIM Business School, which was formerly known as the Institute of Finance and International Management, Bangalore, is one of the top six business schools of India that is AACSB accredited. The college announced that it will be launching a programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the new campus of IFIM Business School in Greater Mumbai.
The programme will be commenced from September 2019 as this is the Silver Jubilee Year of IFIM Business School. This course is the first BBA programme started by an AACSB accredited and a top-ranked business school in India.

The programme’s objective has been carefully envisioned and the curriculum has been created with the aim of grooming ‘T’ shaped professionals that are worth getting employed right after their BBA is over. The focus will be on creating individuals who are skilled and qualified for Industry 4.0 needs and are lifelong learners.
The BBA programme will be fully residential and its curriculum is crafted so as to cater to the needs of Industry 4.0 while also incorporating Liberal Arts streams (General Education) aligned to the syllabi of the US universities. The course will be delivered at the Greater Mumbai campus of IFIM.

Selection Process for IFIM BBA Programme 2019
The applications for the BBA programme at IFIM Business School will be released in the first week of May 2019. The eligibility criteria for applying to the course include that the candidate must have scored at least 70 per cent marks, or equivalent CGPA, in his/her class 12th or equivalent examinations. The selection process and requirements for the course are listed below:
- Letter of Recommendation: the candidate must have two letters of recommendation from his/her school’s principal or faculty.
- Statement of Purpose: The candidate should submit an SOP, which is an essay about him/her, the extracurricular activities he/she has been involved in, and his/her academic performance.
- Critical and Innovative Thinking: This will be a written test for assessing the aptitude and critical and innovative thinking of the candidate.
- Personal Interview
- Merit List: It will be a function of all the particulars mentioned above plus an aspirant’s academic performance, participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
