IGNOU B.Ed Course Applications Open for January 2019 Session

IGNOU has started with its application process for B.Ed programme for the January 2019 academic session. The application process is to be completed in an online mode only. The IGNOU B.Ed programme is of two years and will be taught in both English and Hindi language. B.Ed is a mandatory degree for the candidates who plan to teach in primary as well as higher secondary schools across the country.

IGNOU B.Ed Programme Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have 50% aggregate in the bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of social science/ humanities/ commerce/ or a B.Tech degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate.
• Candidates who have completed an NCTE teacher education programme are also eligible to apply.
• There is a relaxation of 5% for the reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC) and PWD candidates as per the regulations of the Central Government.

IGNOU B.Ed Programme Selection Process:

The selection of the candidate for the IGNOU B.Ed programme will be done on the basis of entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India. Candidate will also have to submit the filled-in application form along with self-attested copies of certificates/documents.

IGNOU B.Ed Programme Fees:

The fees for the IGNOU B.Ed programme is Rs.50,000 in total. The minimum duration of the course is 2 years and the maximum is 5 years. The IGNOU B.Ed programme fee way is to be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where the respective RCE is situated.
