IIHMs Launch Entrepreneurship Cell to Help Students Become Job Creators
IIHM along with Dr Suborno Bose, the Chairman and Chief Mentor of IIHM has launched an entrepreneurship cell, SAHAS to help and encourage the students to become entrepreneurs instead of finding jobs.
IIHMs have come up with an innovative and unique effort to launch SAHAS, a proactive entrepreneurship cell which will guide and encourage students to become entrepreneurs rather than look out for jobs in the market. SAHAS looks at changing the mindset of young people from becoming job-seekers to job creators.
SAHAS was launched by the Chairman and Chief Mentor of IIHM, Dr Suborno Bose and this move has come at the right time as the job market looks grim due to COVID-19. This will help the young students passing out of hotel management colleges achieve their goals and start their own entrepreneurial journey by getting support from SAHAS. The inauguration of the first chapter of SAHAS was at IIHM Delhi. SAHAS is a corpus fund of Rs.1 crore and the students who will need capital for setting up their own businesses will be given the support through SAHAS.

Dr Bose said that the idea behind the launch of this initiative is to help any student who needs seed capital which will be available from all the IIHM campuses. The students will also be given training regarding how to approach a venture capitalist for loans for their start-ups. And, it is likely that the amount of Rs.1 crore will witness an increase in the near future.
