IIIT Bangalore Bags Rs. 1.2 Crore Per Annum Google Residency Programme
Aditya Paliwal, a student from IIIT Bangalore has been selected for prestigious Artificial Intelligence Google Residency Programme. As a part of the programme, Aditya will receive a pay cheque of Rs. 1.2 crore per year.
A student from IIIT Bangalore(International Institute of Information Technology), Aditya Paliwal has been selected for a prestigious Google residency programme. As a part of the residency programme, Aditya will receive a pay cheque of Rs. 1.2 crore per annum. Aditya is one among the 50 students across the world selected for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Google Residency Program. Five students from India have bagged this esteemed opportunity.
Aditya Paliwal pursued the five-year Integrated M.Tech dual-degree course at IIIT Bangalore from 2013 to 2018. The duration of Google residency programme is one year, which will be converted into full-time placement. Aditya will be heading to New York to take up the position.
Dean of Academics – IIIT Bangalore, Chandrasekhar R said that Aditya was among the brightest students of the premier institute and expressed his happiness over his amazing achievement.

Aditya Paliwal revealed that he was interning with Google last year. The internship programme helped him to know about AI Google Residency Programme through internal groups. Even though he has an interest in pursuing research, he did not want to take up Ph.D. immediately after graduation. Residency programme is a great opportunity to maintain a good balance between industry and research, he added.
Explaining about the AI Google Residency Programme, Aditya Paliwal said that the selected students would have an opportunity to pursue Ph.D. after year, extend the programme, or convert the residency programme into a full-time job. However, converting the residency programme into full-time job depends upon the candidate’s performance, he stated.

Aditya is expecting state-of-the-art research, writing research papers and drawing results through the AI Google Residency Programme. He is excited to meet people, researchers and scientists from across the globe.
