IIIT Delhi to Introduce Courses on Cyber Security and Privacy with DSCI

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology - IIIT Delhi will soon roll out a course on Cyber Security and Privacy with the support from the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). With this regard, a Memorandum of Association (MoA) has also been signed between the two organisations. As per the MoA, the DSCI and IIIT Delhi will work together to address the issues of cybersecurity in India jointly.

The Council will organise and conduct hackathons, market researches, collaboration projects, skill-building practices and workshops. The collaboration may also give birth to many startups through incubation on deep learning technologies for the future. The IIIT Delhi has said that the key objective of the programme is to strengthen the innovation and research in the field of cybersecurity, developing the skills and niche for cybersecurity, contributing to the national goals, developing strategies and entrepreneurship, developing commercialising-enabled products for the market in a conducive ecosystem.

IIIT Delhi, Professor Ranjan Bose informed that Cyber Security is still a budding field and it requires research and cutting edge innovation. With the development of new technologies and tools, the challenges of cybersecurity are also getting tougher. With the passage of time, Artificial Intelligence technologies will also come in handy for identifying and addressing new-age cybersecurity problems such as predicting a certain attack.

Vinayak Godse, the Vice President, of DSCI (Data Security Council of India) said that the entity will promote the regional and national level professionals in the cybersecurity field. It will also enhance their skills by allowing them to participate in many strategic initiatives.

The IIITD faculties are expecting positive changes in the future of cybersecurity practices in the country.
