IIM Ahmedabad 2022 Final Placement Concludes: 220 Roles Offered

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad completed the final round of placements of the 2020-2022 batch for the PGP(Post Graduate Programme). Several companies across varied domains participated in the placement process with the recruiters being classified into 20 cohorts. The placement process concluded in two stages - Lateral and Final Placement Process. The first round of placements was conducted for students with work experience and 36 companies offered job roles in different sectors such as consulting and analytics, technology banking among a few.
In the second stage of the placement process, the companies were divided into cohorts based on the roles on offer, enabling the students to choose a career of their choice. The response of recruiters has been overwhelming like in previous years. The entire placement process was conducted online in a virtual mode owing to the COVID situation. The students had the opportunity to apply for other jobs even with offers in their hands enabling them to find their dream job. The recovering economy increased the demand for quality employees and the placements figures were a testimony of the fact. IIM-A continues to be a centre for excellence producing the future corporate leaders for the industry on one hand and helping students reach their aspirations.

There were 190 companies that participated in the placement process. 220 roles were offered by the companies. The biggest recruiters were BCG and Accenture with 47 and 32 offers respectively. Both of them were placed in the consulting cohort. The Investment Banking space saw the highest offers by Goldman Sachs with 6 offers and 4 offers from Bank of America. The year saw a rise of almost 42% in the Asset Management, Private Equity, and Wealth Management cohort. Whereas the consulting cohort saw a rise of 30% in the number of offers made. The consumer goods and general management domain saw TAS or Tata Administrative Service as the one with the highest offers at 6 followed by HUL, Mondelez, Emaar with 3 offers each. Other big recruiters in the laterals process were Paytm with 20 offers, PWC with13 offers, and American Express and Oyo at 11, and 10 offers respectively.

- Consulting was one of the hottest sectors in the placement process. There were firms such as BCHG, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co, McKinsey & Co, GEP Consulting, KPMG, Monitor Deloitte, Oliver Wymann among others.
- Investment Banks that came up for the placement process were ARGA investment, Avendus, Sanford C Bernstein, HSBC, Xander Group, Goldman Sachs,
- Consumer majors which offered placements were Asian Paints, Dabur, HUL, Mondelez, ITC, Nestle.
- Conglomerates like Adani Group, TAS, Aditya Birla Group also showed up and online retailers like Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, and Nykaa were among others.
