IIM Ahmedabad Partners with CoWrks India for Educational Initiatives
IIMA has signed a MoU with CoWrks India for a strategic partnership to promote educational initiatives. The areas of their association are Startup Support & Incubation, Executive Education and IIM-A Alumni Engagement.
Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has signed a MoU with CoWrks India for a strategic partnership to enhance educational initiatives. The areas of their association are Startup Support & Incubation, Executive Education and IIM-A Alumni Engagement.
Prof. Rakesh Basant, Dean Alumni and External Relations at IIMA said that IIM-A has plans to increase its activities when it comes to entrepreneurship and executive education, and simultaneously look at strengthening the relations with the alumni. The tie-up between IIMA and CoWrks will help in implementing these plans as the alumni can access different CoWrks centres across the nation to engage with each other. At the same time, the alumni can also look at contributing towards entrepreneurship and executive education-related activities of IIMA.

The collaboration between IIMA and CoWrks will involve developing case studies on mutually agreed subjects and conducting research. The topics may include future of work, workforce productivity, gig economy, the impact of freelancing and co-working on urban work etc.
Nruthya Madappa, the Managing Partner, CoWrks Foundry said that since CoWrks is the preferred by Startup unicorns and large enterprises, they are aiming at offering further support to the pan Indian community in collaboration with IIMA. Also, since IIMA is the best university in the country, CoWrks is excited to partner with IIMA to support business and entrepreneurship, Madappa mentioned.

IIMA will offer training and academic expertise for the programs, and CoWrks, on the other hand, will help in the implementation of the programs by making use of its operational and infrastructure expertise. IIMA is known for its wide network of esteemed alumni and provides executive education programs. It is well-known in the entrepreneurship and incubation space through its Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).
IIMA will use the various CoWrks centres located in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and some other upcoming locations to offer programs in executive education. This will be done in phases and will also depend on the market response and many other factors.
