IIM Ahmedabad ePGP Course Witnesses Increase in Number of Female Candidates
The 2nd batch of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad’s electronic mode postgraduate programme (ePGP) course has witnessed an increase in the number of female candidates as compared to last year.
The second batch of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad’s electronic mode postgraduate programme - ePGP has witnessed an increase in the number of female candidates. This year, 8 female candidates have applied for the management course as compared to last year when only 2 female students had enrolled along with 51 male candidates.
The 2018-20 batch of Electronic Mode Postgraduate programme (e-PGP) has a total of 63 participants. With respect to the class profile, 70% of them are from the B.Tech/B.E. background, 41% participants have a work experience of almost 3 to 6 years and the remaining 24% participants have almost 7 to 10 years of the work experience.

The second batch of IIM Ahmedabad e-PGP course is offered in 15 cities across the country in which participants between the age group of 25 to 50 years apply. All the participants are from diverse backgrounds. From financial services to automobile to baking to e-commerce, to power to the IT sector, there is a huge diversity. Also, the increase in the number of female candidates depicts the positive aspect which will help in increasing the number of female students in the coming years.

Also, for the next batch of e-PGP which will start from September 2019, it is said that IIM-A will be considering CAT/ GMAT/ GRE scores for shortlisting the candidates.
