IIM Ahmedabad to Continue Mentoring IIM Nagpur
- IIM Ahmedabad to continue supporting IIM Nagpur.
- The decision was made to meet the required faculty strength in IIM Nagpur.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) was assigned the task to mentor the new IIM at Nagpur for two years i.e till the first convocation of IIM Nagpur (IIM-N). But it seems that IIM Ahmedabad will have to continue mentoring the B-school in Maharashtra until it manages to hire enough members of the faculty to drive the varsity on its own.
According to the sources in the institutes, the decision was made at the board meeting of the governors, after the first convocation of IIM Nagpur on 14th April. At present, IIM Nagpur has only five faculties against the required strength of fourteen. Thus, IIM Ahmedabad will continue to support IIM Nagpur until it has adequate faculty strength.

Although the IIM-A faculty members did not teach IIM-N students directly, but they instructed their counterparts in Nagpur.
