IIM Amritsar PGP Batch 2018-20 Records 12.6% Rise in Students
The number of PGP students at IIM Amritsar has increased by 12.6% this year. The new PGP batch of IIM Amritsar has students from diverse backgrounds including agriculture, sciences, commerce and engineering.
The new PGP batch of IIM Amritsar for the academic session 2018-20 recorded a 12.6% rise in the number of admissions than the previous batch. This year, 107 students joined PGP course at IIM Amritsar while the number was 95 last year.
The new PGP batch of IIM Amritsar has students from diverse backgrounds including agriculture, sciences, commerce and engineering. A few students of the new PGP batch had an exposure to the management domain in their Bachelor degree.

The inaugural ceremony of the fourth batch of PGP students at IIM Amritsar took place on July 15, 2018. The Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony was SH. Neeladree Nandy.
The third PGP batch (2016-18) of IIM Amritsar recorded 100% placements. The highest international package offered was Rs. 54 lakh per annum while the highest domestic salary package was Rs. 18 lakh per annum. A total number of seven students bagged international offers this year. IT was the major recruiting sector while sales and marketing domain offered the highest number of jobs.

IIM Amritsar was one among the new IIMs that showed outstanding placement record this year. The premier institute has been successful to place all the students of third PGP batch. The institute is looking forward to carrying the same tempo for the upcoming batches.
The second convocation ceremony of IIM Amritsar took place on April 16, 2018. A total number of 104 students were awarded diplomas during the convocation ceremony.
