IIM Bangalore and AAI Sign MoU for Training Programme in Management and Leadership
- IIM Bangalore will impart training in management and leadership development to AAI middle-senior level employees.
- Three batches of 20-25 employees will be trained over a period of time. The programme will be on the lines of Skill India Mission.
IIM Bangalore (Indian Institute of Management) and Airport Authority of India (AAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The main purpose of the pact is to impart training in management and leadership development to AAI employees. IIM Bangalore will take the responsibility of training the officials of AAI, and pave way for the improvement of skills in middle-senior level employees identified for succession planning.

AAI officials at the levels of Executive Director, General Manager, Joint General Manager and Assistant General Manager will be a part of training programme conducted by IIM Bangalore. The MoU has been signed for a period of three years which will come into effect from April 01, 2018. During the three years, nine batches comprising of 20-25 officers per batch will be trained. All the Board Members of AAI were present during the signing of MoU.
HR official of AAI, Ms. Anju Agarwal revealed that training and development are the top priorities of AAI. The authority has been undertaking new initiatives to impart training on the lines of ‘Skill India Mission’ of the Indian government.

Anju Agarwal thanked IIM Bangalore for collaborating with AAI for taking this significant step towards introducing latest business management practices and tools for AAI officials. The work performance of the officials will be enhanced through this training programme.
Director of IIM Bangalore, Professor Raghuram expressed his immense pleasure to be associated with AAI, a leading player in the civil aviation sector. The partnership will also help IIM Bangalore in exploring the challenges faced by the civil aviation industry, he concluded.
