IIM Bangalore Hosts its 44th Annual Convocation, 625 Degrees Awarded
IIM Bangalore hosted its annual convocation on March 22. Arundhati Bhattacharya, the former chairman of the State Bank of India delivered the keynote address.
IIM Bangalore hosted its 44th annual convocation on March 22 at the IIM Bengaluru campus. The convocation address was delivered by Arundhati Bhattacharya, former Chairman of the State Bank of India.
Devi Prasad Shetty, Chair Board of Governors at IIM Bangalore delivered the keynote address. Later, award distribution ceremony took place. The convocation concluded with a report by IIM-B Director G Raghuram.

IIMB also gave distinguished Alumni Awards (2019) to three very deserving candidates. These awards which were conceptualized in 2007 at IIMB are given to alumni for their exceptional merit and achievements in their chosen field, whether it is management, industry, entrepreneurship, social service, research or academia. The recipients of this award will get a citation and their names will be engraved on IIMB’s wall of fame.
IIMB has 110 full-time faculty members and more than 1200 students across various programmes. The degree/diploma programmes at IIMB include the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM), the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), the one year full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), one-year full-time Executive Post Graduate programme in management (EPGP).

It has three faculty recruiting centres-the Centre for Public Policy, NSCEL and the Centre for Management Communication. IIMB has also recently launched a Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

There is also an India-Japan study centre at IIMB for a better understanding of Japan in India and India in Japan through teaching and research.
