IIM Bangalore’s 'Daan Utsav – The Joy of Giving Week' Celebrations Conclude
- IIM Bangalore witnessed participation from 76 participants during the 'One Day at IIM Bangalore' as a part of 'Daan Utsav'.
- Lectures on Marketing, Economics and Organisational Behaviour were delivered by faculty members and professors.
Daan Utsav –The Joy of Giving Week celebrations recently concluded at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. On the last day of the celebrations, Vikasana, the social impact club of IIM Bangalore organised an event ‘One Day at IIM Bangalore’. The programme enabled 76 participants to experience the life of an IIM Bangalore student for a day. The participants of this event were aged between 15-54 years and many of them travelled from Delhi to Bangalore to take part in the event. Director of IIM Bangalore, Professor G. Raghuram welcomed all the participants.

During the event, the participants attended lectures of Economics, Marketing and Organisational Behaviour delivered by Professor Rupa Chandra (RBI Chair), Professor Y.L.R Moorthi and Professor Saurav Mukherji (Dean of Academic Programmes) respectively. The lectures turned out to be extremely valuable to the students, moreso because it enabled interaction between the participants and speakers during the sessions.

After the lectures, the participants took part in the group activity where IIM Bangalore PGP students (Post Graduate Programme in Management) mentored the participants on the case study methodology. The participants were asked to work in groups to solve and present a case to the jury.
A campus tour was organised for all the participants where the participants grabbed the chance to get a glimpse of the premier institute. Cultural programmes by the dance and music clubs of IIM Bangalore entertained the participants. All the participants were given Daan Utsav T-Shirts.
IIM Bangalore will transfer the proceeds of the event to DESIRE society that works for the welfare of HIV-affected children.
