IIM Bangalore Welcomes Doctoral and PGP Students to Campus
- Professor G Raghuram, IIMB Director welcomed the new students of PGP and FPM batch and shared his vision of IIMB with them.
- Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, I&B Minister and Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports shared his personal experiences with the new students.
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore welcomed 22 students for its Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and over 400 students to the prestigious Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).
Saugata Gupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Marcio Limited and alumnus IIMB addressed the students and talked about the opportunities IIMB offers to its students. He further told the students to be careful about decision making and not to make a choice because of peer pressure and encouraged students to take risks and that there is no substitute for hard work.

Professor G Raghuram, IIMB Director welcomed the new students and shared his vision of IIMB with students. He shared his vision regarding the innovation, research and academic excellence that he plans to introduce in the institute.
Prof Rejie P. George, Fellow Programme in Management Chair said that the main aim of the IIMB’s doctoral programme is to provide academic talent to renowned management schools in the country.

After the award ceremony, Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, I&B Minister and Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports talked about his volleyball game at the IIMB sports complex during his visit to the campus. He shared the various personal experience with the students and talked about the importance of personality development. Citing many examples from his life, he emphasized the importance of fighting spirit in one’s life. He concluded his speech by stating that one should not just work for themselves but for the greater good.
