IIM Bangalore Hosts Social Start-up Santhe
The entrepreneurship and innovation hub of IIM Bangalore, NSRCEL, hosted 'Social Startup Santhe' in association with Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. The event was conducted n 10th May 2019, Friday.
The entrepreneurship and innovation hub of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, NSRCEL, collaborated with Michael and Susan Dell Foundation to host ‘Social Start-up Santhe’ on 10th May 2019, Friday. The event consisted of several workshops, peer to peer sessions, a panel discussion conducted by eminent leaders in the social space, and other activities.
The keynote speaker of the event ‘Social Start-up Santhe’ was the President of Cisco India and SAARC, Sameer Garde. He addressed all the people present at the event.

IIM Bangalore had provided a dedicated stall space for some social ventures that were called ‘Suite of Services’. This stall offered services that were relevant to technological, legal, Human Resource, and branding areas to several other organisations in the social sector.
The event also held a panel discussion on the topic ‘Collaborative Funding for Impact- The New Mantra’. This panel discussion was conducted by some eminent speakers like Deep Mukherjee, who is the CEO of CII National Committee on Sports and Head of Sports Development of Star India; Pradeep Nair, the Regional Director of the Ford Foundation; Shweta Sharma Kukreja, the MD of the Central Square Foundation; Asutosh Tyagi, the Head of Social Finance India; Sudha Srinivasan, the CEO of N/Core; Ingrid Srinath, the Founder Director of the Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy at Ashoka University; and Saras Agarwal, the Principal of Bharat Innovation Fund. professor Sourav Mukherji of the Faculty Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources at IIM Bangalore moderated the panel discussion.

Additionally, the Social Ventures Incubation Programme of NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore, in this collaboration with Michael and Susan Dell Foundation also celebrated the graduation of the first batch of 8 social ventures at the occasion. The programme was initially funded at Rs. 18 lakhs and it fostered cross-learning and exchange of best practices via the mixture of programmes and other incubatees under its fold. The inception of the 18-month-long incubation journey was done on 15th September 2017 and that first batch of eight social ventures graduated on 10th May 2019.
