IIM Bangalore to Host 'Women in Data Science' Conference in March
IIM Bangalore is hosting a conference on Women in Data Science on the occasion of International Women's Day on 9th March 2019. Professionals and speakers from all around the world will come together to share experiences and ideas.
Marking the International Women’s Day on 8th March, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) will be hosting the ‘Women in Data Science Conference (WiDS)’ on 9th March 2019. This conference is a Stanford University initiative that will be held in the Data Centre and Analytics lab of IIM Bangalore. It is indeed a proud and historic moment for the prestigious IIM Bangalore as it will witness the presence of women data scientists from across the world.
The primary purpose of hosting the WiDS conference is to educate more people about the field of Data Science. Leading women scientists from all over the world would share their thoughts, ideas and knowledge of the technical field. They will also highlight their respective stories, initiatives, work, research papers, experiences etc.
