IIM Calcutta Collaborates with Capacity Building Commission to Train Civil Servants
IIM Calcutta has collaborated with Capacity Building Commission to train civil servants of the country in the area of Innovative Management Development.
To impart training to the civil servants, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta has collaborated with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India. This collaboration will be executed to design and execute training programmes for the civil servants of the Country. The training will be imparted at different levels, to upgrade the civil servants on a comprehensive strategy of innovative management development. The Director of IIM Calcutta, Uttam Kumar Sarkar signed the Letter of Intent (LOI) on 17 February 2022 with the Capacity Building Commission.
As per the announcement at the Official Press Release, IIM Calcutta has already been training civil servants on modern innovative management development. Additionally, in the previous year, the Education Department of West Bengal has also collaborated with IIM Calcutta to organise a workshop for the Heads of the Government Schools in Bengal.

Uttam Kumar Sarkar stated that it is another attempt to showcase their commitment towards the public good for the management education of the country. He also said that IIM Calcutta will extend its expertise in training the civil servants of the country by helping them improve their governance.
Also, IIM Calcutta received a contribution of INR 54 Lakh from the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) 22nd batch for upgrading the Students Sports Complex. This will be exploited to improve the infrastructure of the Students Sports Complex.
