IIM Calcutta Launches an Online Entrepreneurship Programme
IIM Calcutta launched an entrepreneurship programme to promote startups in India. The duration of the programme will be for six months and will be delivered in an online mode.
IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Calcutta has launched an entrepreneurship programme called S.U.R.G.E (Startup Readiness, Growth and Education): An Entrepreneurship Programme. HUGHES Global Education India has partnered with the institute to launch the programme.
IIM Calcutta Entrepreneurship Programme - Duration
The duration of S.U.R.G.E Entrepreneurship Programme is for six months. The idea of the comprehensively structured and dynamic programme is to offer maximum value to the students in the shortest possible time.
IIM Calcutta Entrepreneurship Programme - Mode of Delivery
The S.U.R.G.E Entrepreneurship Programme will be delivered in an online mode. Students will be taught using live interaction via Hughes Interactive Onsite Learning Platform.

IIM Calcutta Entrepreneurship Programme - Key Features
The programme will be focusing on helping budding entrepreneurs in managing their business successfully during the early phases.
The programme will be providing a 360-degree view for a strategic outlook that will help in managing problems.
S.U.R.G.E Entrepreneurship Programme will be available in 70 classrooms that are distributed in over 24 cities.
It will be taught using live interaction in the form of two-way videos.
Many renowned faculty and multiple stakeholders will be teaching the programme to provide real-life and in-depth paradigms to young entrepreneurs.
The programme involves a ‘capstone project’ in which, students will be creating their business plan with the help of the tools and concepts that will be covered in programme modules.
