IIM Indore 19th Convocation: Scholarship Achievers and Gold Medalists Felicitated
- The 19th convocation of IIM Indore took place on March 28, 2018.
- For the first time, IIM Indore awarded degrees instead of diplomas to PGP and five-year integrated management course students.
The 19th convocation ceremony of IIM Indore took place on March 28, 2018. Scholarship Achievers and Gold Medalists were felicitated during the pre-convocation ceremony that took place a day before the annual convocation. Director of InterGlobe Aviation Limited, Mr. Aditya Ghosh was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The convocation ceremony commenced with a colourful and amazing convocation procession where BoG of IIM Indore, faculty members and the chief guest walked through the aisle towards the convocation venture/ venue.
Chairperson of IIM Indore, Mr. Deepak M Satwalekar declared the convocation open. He congratulated the graduating students and encouraged them to develop a positive attitude to surpass negative thoughts. The graduating students of IIM Indore must play a vital role in maintaining the brand name. This year, IIM Indore has decided to confer degrees instead of diplomas to PGP and five-year integrated programme in management course students, he revealed.
He further urged the students to focus on outcomes instead of rewards. A leader is a person who not only excels in his work or profession but also contributes to society as a whole. It is the responsibility of the students to grab every opportunity that comes their way, he concluded.
During the convocation ceremony, Chief Guest, Mr. Aditya Gosh presented medals for Academic Excellence, i.e., IIM Indore Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance to the following graduating students: -

- Dautpure Tejashree Pradeep – Rank 3
- Dautpure Tejashree Pradeep also bagged Gold Medal for the Best Woman Participant for Scholastic Performance

- Dhruv Kansal – Rank 2
- Abhilasha Jas – Rank 3
- Shilpika Ganerwala also bagged Gold Medal for Best Woman Participant for Scholastic Performance

Addressing the students, Mr. Aditya Ghosh requested the graduating students to give a standing ovation to their families as they are responsible for everything. Graduation ceremony/ convocation ceremony is regarded as an acknowledgment for the hard work of students over the years. He advised the students to not compete with anyone. Self-belief and self-motivation are the key aspects to achieve success in the career, he concluded.
