IIM Indore Signs MoU with Central University of Finance & Economics (China)

With an objective to give an international exposure to students, Indian institute of Management, Indore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Central University of Finance and Economics, China. The MoU between IIM Indore and CUFE China consolidate the academic ties between the two institutes and facilitate summer school programmes, faculty exchange, and student exchange.

The MoU was signed on April 25, 2017, at IIM Indore. A senior level delegation from CUFE, China visited Indian Institute of Management, Indore and signed the MoU. Prof. Wang Guangqian, President of Central University of Finance and Economics led the delegation.

One of the senior officials of IIM Indore revealed that the MoU was a result of IIM Indore’s efforts to make collaborations with some of the reputed business schools in China. A two-member delegation from Indian Institute of Management, Indore visited China two years back and met the officials of some of the business schools in China. The purpose of the visit was to develop academic ties with international business schools.

Giving details about the research activities at IIM Indore, the official clarified that the institute has been laying more emphasis to promote research on comparing India and China in the domains of management and economy. The institute also organizes talks regularly and invites distinguished speakers from various parts of the world.

The MoU signed by IIM Indore with the Central University of Finance and Economic, China is the first of its kind that facilitates academic collaboration. Both the institutes will also take up joint research activities. IIM Indore and CUFE, China will also hold academic conferences.
