IIM Kozhikode To Celebrate 23 Years of Academic Excellence
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode is set to celebrate 23 years of excellence on 21st August 2019. The Institute has been working towards attaining the different aspects of being called one of the top Business Schools of India.
With the foundation of the institute laid in the year 1996, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode will be celebrating the completion of 23 years of excellence in academics. Sources state the IIM Kozhikode foundation day celebrations will see the event being attended by two prominent women, Dr Harbeen Arora who is the Founder and the Chairperson of All Ladies League and Women Economic Forum along with Ms Shalini Warrier CEO of Federal Bank.
The Director of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, Prof Debasis Chatterjee stated that the reason for bringing in two prominent female members of the society was to indicate the institute’s pledge to be inclusive and incorporate gender diversity. He added that IIM Kozhikode has been on the path of success over the two decades. He also stated the institute, through its programmes in postgraduate, PhD, executive training as well as including research and consultation.
Prof Chatterjee also pointed out that the true strength of the institute actually lies in their learning-oriented as well as the innovative teaching practices, where the faculty at the institute carry with themselves high experience, “high impact corporate training” along with consistent research initiatives being undertaken at the institute. He also stated that the industry-specific curriculum along with their robust relations with the corporate world ensures that the students receive the best possible education in the discipline of management.
Over the 23 years of excellence in the field of education, the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has been able to not only excel in education but to ensure improvement in the overall development of the institute. In the recent NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework) Ranking for Management Colleges, the Indian Institute of Management was able to obtain the 6th rank among the top B-Schools in India.

Sources stated that the areas where the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode as excelled include, learning as well as teaching outcomes along with the graduation outcomes. It has also been able to excel in outreach and inclusiveness as well. Leading news agencies have stated that IIM Kozhikode has been one of the fastest-growing B-Schools in India as over 20 years ago, the institute started with 42 students enrolled under the programmes offered, wherein, this academic session the institute saw 485 enrolments under the postgraduate programmes alone.

In recent months, Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has been making various changes to itself. Among the changes include various new-age programmes being introduced along with taking up the responsibility for conducting the Common Admission Test (CAT 2019). The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has also witnessed an increase in the number of graduates graduating from the MBA programme that is offered by them. IIM Kozhikode has been working exclusively towards promoting gender-diversity at their institute as well. The Institute has planned to be the best management school that aspiring students from India and abroad can choose.
