IIM-Kozhikode Gets Space Pavillion

The first ever Space pavilion at theIndian Institute of Management- Kozhikode in north kerela has set up in collaboration with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, as part of its outreach activities. Director of VSSC K.Sivan and Director (in-charge) of IIM-K Kulbhushan Balooni will inaugurate the pavilion at 11 a.m. on 16th Feb’16.
This venture of the VSSC and IIM-K is spread over 1,000 sq ft.
Scaled-down models of the Indian launch vehicles and satellites are also displayed at the pavilion. It will provide information on the Indian Space Programme right from the inception to the future missions of ISRO through display panels and audio-visual aid.
There are interactive animation displays that demonstrate the working principle of
- ATM banking
- Tele-education
- Stock exchanges
Through satellites of ISRO.
A video theatre is also available with surround sound displays and video films on ISRO.
The pavilion is open to students and public throughout the year with prior permission from the IIM-K authorities.
