IIM, Lucknow Changes Grading System
CAT percentile acceptable for reserved category students is 70% and not 75%.
IIM, Lucknow has upgraded the rating system from this year and has increased the scale for ration a student’s performance in class 12th and graduation. The management institute of Lucknow has decided to rate a student’s performance in class 12th out of 5 rather than 2 and graduation performance will be rated out of 5 instead of 3. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow like every management institute in the country considers CAT score to shortlist a student. Students seeking admission in PGP i.e. Post Graduate Programs should note these points.

The CAT score considered by the institute has been reduced from 38 to 30. A Faculty of IIM, Lucknow said that this decision is made because the institute is looking for consistent performers.
The document that has been released on the official website of the management institute and the document emphasises on the work experience of the student. The score for work experience has also increased it used to be 2 and according to the new policy, it is 5.

The percentage for shortlisting reserved category student has changed. Now students belonging to SC, ST and PwD category can get admission at 70 percentile instead of 75 percentile. Although the second cut off for the following sections of students from the reserved category is still the same.
