IIM Lucknow Organises its 31st Annual Convocation
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow successfully conducted its 31st annual convocation on Monday, March 20, 2017.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow successfully conducted its 31st annual convocation on Monday, March 20, 2017. More than 590 students were awarded diplomas at the event and were advised to focus on their careers rather than thinking about the salaries.
CEO of MakeMyTrip, Deep Kalra, addressed the gathering at the convocation and advised the students to play to their strengths and understand their weaknesses. He also told the students that the diploma awarded to them is a ticket to a good job.

Kalra also asked the students to be fearless and remain calm. Occasional failure is fine and can be dealt with if you stay calm, added Kalra, a graduate of IIM Ahmedabad.
Director of IIM Lucknow, Dr. Ajit Prasad talked about the achievements of the institute in the academic session 2016-2017. He also informed the students that the institute has signed a MoU with the World Bank Group to provide training programmes based on the World Bank’s procurement framework. This will enable the institute to offer international training programmes twice a year.
Prasad also said that the HRD Ministry plans to start a National Faculty Management Centre (NMFDC) with the help of IIM Lucknow. This centre will be started at the Noida campus and will help in attracting skilled faculty members for management education in the country.

IIM Lucknow is one of the premier b-schools in India and has been nurturing talent since 1984. With the batch of 2017, the institute will now have a network of over 5000 alumni who have been contributing to the development of the society.
