IIM Nagpur Summer Placements: Over 50 Companies Recruit from Campus
- IIM Nagpur successfully concluded the summer placements for PGP batch 2017-19 with 25% increase in stipend.
- The highest stipend received this year went up to Rs. 1.8 lakh, whereas, the average stipend was Rs. 60,176.
IIM Nagpur has concluded the summer placements for the PGP Batch 2017-19 on January 3, 2018. Over 50 firms participated in the recruitment procedure and hired students for summer internships. Following are some of the major highlights of the IIM Nagpur Summer Placements:

30% of the PGP batch was recruited by BFSI, Logistics and FMCG companies. Some of the most sought-after roles amongst students were consulting, marketing, analytics, finance and operations. The number of companies expressing their interest in the placement also increased by 25%.
Some of the popular firms that participated in the process included VLCC, Yes Bank, GroupM, ICICI Lombard, TATA Power, BPCL, Blue Star, Capacloud, Sutherland Global, TVS, Gati, Mahindra Logistics and Reliance Jio Studios. Prominent companies that hired students from IIM Nagpur for the first time included Fractal Analytics, JPMorgan Chase, HDFC AMC, HUL, Godrej, Marico and Stellar Value Chain.

IIM Nagpur also informed that this year’s summer placement witnessed active participation from the social sector as well. Teach for India and Tata Trusts were some of the organisations that hired students from the institute.
Prof. L S Murty, Director, IIM Nagpur, informed that the institute is committed to producing high-quality managerial resources for the industry. He added that the institute ensures that the curriculum is updated in order to stay on par with the global management standards.

In its endeavour to engage with the industry, IIM Nagpur has signed an MoU with one of its major recruiters to come up with case studies based on specific business challenges. The case study will be added to the curriculum of the institute.
