IIM Rohtak Holds Convocation for PGPM Batch of 2017
The sixth convocation ceremony for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) batch of 2017 was organised by Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak in a delightful manner on March 18, 2017.
The sixth convocation ceremony for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) batch of 2017 was organised by Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak in a delightful manner on March 18, 2017. Around 156 students graduated from PGPM batch of 2017.
The chief guest for the convocation ceremony was Onno Ruhl, General Manager of Aga Khan Agency for Habitat. Various dignitaries were also present on the occasion including Mr. Ravi Kant, Chairman of Board of Governors, Dr. Dheeraj Sharma, Director of Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak.
Addressing the students, Onno Ruhl indicated that it is time for the students to take the right decision which will carry a lot of significance with it. The decision taken by students will influence the lives of people and will help to shape their future.

Onno Ruhl was the Former Director (India) of World Bank Country. Sharing his experiences, Onno Ruhl revealed that he was a part of World Bank for 23 years and during these years, he witnessed the economic growth of various countries.
He cited that Africa was regarded as ‘hopeless continent’ during those days. Today, it is one of the hottest emerging markets in the world. He also pointed that poverty rate has declined across the globe as compared to what it was years ago. He added that India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
On this occasion, Onno Ruhl congratulated the students who graduated successfully from the PGPM course and also awarded gold medals to two students.

Director of IIM Rohtak, Dr. Dheeraj Sharma congratulated the students and highlighted the contribution of the institute in the field of education. He also highlighted the placement trends at IIM Rohtak by pointing that the numbers of offers, CTC packages and highest salary have been increasing every year.
