IIM Rohtak and IIM Visakhapatnam Introduce New Courses for Working Professionals
- IIM Rohtak and IIM Visakhapatnam have launched new courses targeted exclusively at working professionals.
- The first batch of EPFM course offered by IIM Rohtak commenced on June 15, 2018, with 25 participants.
With an objective to help working professionals upgrade and tune their managerial skills, IIM Rohtak and IIM Visakhapatnam have come up with new postgraduate courses. The new course introduced by IIM Visakhapatnam for working professionals is PGCEP (Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Business Management for Experienced Professionals). The duration of the new course is 15 months and it will be launched officially in September 2018.
Apart from IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM Ranchi and IIM Bangalore offer on-campus executive management courses. Other premier management institutes in India offer the course for working professionals either online or partially online. The scope for campus visits in online courses is also minimal.

The credits of the new PGCEP course offered by IIM Visakhapatnam will be transferred to full-time Executive MBA course, which will be launched next year. On June 30, 2018, the premier management institute will conduct a briefing session on PGCEP course. Interested candidates can visit the official website of IIM Visakhapatnam to register for the briefing session.
The PGCEP course of IIM Visakhapatnam will comprise of 21 subjects. Some of the subjects that will be covered under this course are: -
- Decision Sciences
- Law
- Economics
- Organisational Behaviour
- Corporate Strategy
- Marketing and Operations Management
Another institute which has introduced a new course is IIM Rohtak. It has inducted the first two batches of its two new courses for working professionals. The courses were launched earlier this year. The new courses introduced by IIM Rohtak for working professionals are: -
- Post Graduate Programme for Executives (ePGPx)
- Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EPFM)
