IIM Rohtak Inaugurates its Maiden Executive PGDM Batch
Indian Institute of Management Rohtak inaugurated its maiden batch of ‘Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management’ (ePGDM) on 23rd Nove
Indian Institute of Management Rohtak inaugurated its maiden batch of ‘Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management’ (ePGDM) on 23rd November 2015. The program provides management education to working executives through Interactive Online Learning Platform (IOL) of ‘Hughes Global Education India Ltd.’
This programme is meant for experienced executives, entrepreneurs and professionals, who desire to enhance their managerial knowledge and skills through formal management education. The Programme is uniquely structured to provide high-quality management education to them with minimal disruptions at their workplace while ensuring high standards and rigour of other postgraduate programmes of IIM Rohtak.
The executive Post Graduate Programme of IIM Rohtak will provide the executives with an opportunity to get a formal management qualification with a state of the art knowledge acquisition - either a 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma or a 1-year Post-Graduate Certificate as per their preference or specialisations in specific subject areas.
The inauguration ceremony was flagged-off by Prof. Atanu Rakshit, Director, IIM Rohtak. Prof. Sanjay Jharkaria, Dean (REE), delivered the inaugural address, in which, he remarked that the rigor and the faculty of the program will be the same as PGP. Prof. Atanu Rakshit, Director, IIM Rohtak, mentioned that there should be no barrier to learning either in terms of age or even if it is coming from a younger person.
The first keynote address was delivered by Vijay Sethi, CIO, Head CSR, Hero Moto Corp. He underlined the ‘7 Habits to Develop’ to achieve success in life. The second keynote address was delivered by Ranjiv Singh Dalal, IPS (Retd.) (Former DGP, Haryana). Dalal highlighted the differences between the capitalist and socialist methods prevalent in the country.
The inauguration ceremony was followed by the commencement of classes of the first ePGDM batch. The first batch consists of 56 students and the average work experience of the enrolled students are 7.5 years.
Having achieved resounding success in its six years of operations, IIM Rohtak added another feather in its cap.
