IIM Rohtak New Batch Comprises 50% Women Students
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak has worked hard to achieve desirable gender diversity on its campus for the flagship PGP course in Management. The institute has enrolled 50% women students for the upcoming academic batch of 2018-20.
IIM Rohtak, short for Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, which came into existence in 2010, has achieved a new milestone and record this year. The institute which was earlier known to have poor gender diversity because of less number of women candidates on the campus has now broken the odds to record 50% women students this year. Out of the 242 students enrolled for PGP course at IIM Rohtak, 123 are women.
In 2010, only three women had opted for IIM Rohtak PGP course. Even though there was an improvement in the number of women students in 2013-15 PGP batch, the number started to decline in 2015 once again. For instance, 2016-17 PGP batch had only nine women students, while 2013-15 PGP batch had 73 women students. Check the detailed statistics of women students in IIM Rohtak below.
