IIM Sambalpur to Launch Executive MBA and Ph.D. Courses

One of the newly established IIMs in the country, IIM Sambalpur is all set to launch new courses from the next academic session (2018-19). The management institute has lined up various initiatives to give a new impetus to the management education. Among the initiatives, IIM Sambalpur will double the student intake from 60 to 120 for the MBA course. Similarly, IIM Sambalpur will move to the campus of Sambalpur University by the end of March.

IIM Sambalpur will launch Executive MBA and Ph.D. courses. The premier institute has also attained necessary approvals from the concerned authorities to launch the course.

The duration of Executive MBA course will be two years, and students will have three to four years to complete the Ph.D. course. The premier institute will enrol 20 students for the Ph.D. course, while it will enrol 40 students for Executive MBA course.

The Government of Odisha has allotted 237 acres of land at Basantpur for the construction of the permanent campus.

Director of IIM Sambalpur, Mr. Mahadeo Jaiswal revealed that the institute is successful in recording 100% placements. For the outgoing batch, the average salary offered was Rs. 12 lakh per annum while the highest annual package stood at Rs. 51 lakh, he highlighted.

The new campus of IIM Sambalpur at Sambalpur University will have five classrooms and 150 hostel rooms. Necessary interior designs have already been made at the new campus.

The permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur is expected to be completed by 2020.
