IIM Sambalpur Aims to Impart Industry Training

Indian Institute of Management, Sambalpur has rolled out a plan to launch new courses to impart industry training to students by considering the requirements of local industries. The premier management institute is focusing on improving the quality education to match up to international standards.
Director of IIM Sambalpur, Mr. Mahadeo Jaiswal revealed that the progress of the institute is satisfactory and IIM Sambalpur is on the right path. With a motive to promote social entrepreneurship, IIM Sambalpur will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amul, he informed.

Giving details about the new courses, Mr. Mahadeo Jaiswal explained that these courses would be offered to employees of local industries on Saturdays and Sundays. These courses will focus on providing the best management training to the employees of local industries, he added.
Adding further, Mr. Mahadeo pointed that the government took a wise decision by setting up IIM in Sambalpur. Many mineral-based industries are located in Sambalpur through which students can acquire practical knowledge, he highlighted.

Currently, IIM Sambalpur is functioning on the campus of a private engineering college. Soon, IIM Sambalpur will shift on the campus of Sambalpur University. The constriction of the permanent campus for IIM Sambalpur is underway and it will be completed within three years. The absence of direct air services to IIM Sambalpur is the only problem. The government is aware of the problem and taking necessary steps. The state government is proving maximum support and cooperation to IIM Sambalpur.
IIM Sambalpur began the course for the first batch on September 23, 2015.
