IIM Udaipur 7th Convocation: 239 Students Conferred MBA Degrees
IIM Udaipur 7th convocation ceremony took place on March 30, 2019. For the second time, IIM Udaipur awarded MBA degrees instead of diplomas.
For the second time, IIM Udaipur has awarded MBA degrees instead of diplomas during the 7th convocation ceremony that took place on March 30, 2019. A total number of 239 students received MBA degrees and Diplomas in Supply Chain Management at IIM Udaipur 7th convocation ceremony. More than 700 guests including parents, teachers, students and others attended the 7th convocation ceremony of IIM Udaipur.
During the convocation ceremony, certificates/ degrees were awarded to PGP and PGPx students of IIM Udaipur. The institute also felicitated the students for their academic achievements. Even though IIM Udaipur awarded degrees to PGP students, diplomas were awarded to PGPx students.
Managing Director of JK Paper Limited, Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania was the chief guest for 7th convocation ceremony of IIM Udaipur. Chairperson of Board of Directors (BoG) IIM Udaipur, Mr. Pankaj Patel was also present on the occasion. Renowned corporates and industrialists from Udaipur also attend the convocation ceremony to congratulate the graduating students.

The approval of IIM Bill by the Parliament of India empowered the IIMs to award degrees instead of diplomas. After the approval of the Bill, IIM Bangalore was the first premier management institute in the country to award degrees to 406 students.
