IIM Udaipur to Introduce New Course to Help Students Adapt to Changing Technologies
Not only engineering, the emerging sectors of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain etc is set to make its debut in management studies with the initiatives of IIM Udaipur. The course is in the development session by the industry experts.
For making students able to work in fast-changing technologies, the Indian Institue of Management - IIM Udaipur has introduced a new course in the institution. Apart from that, IIM Udaipur is also busy to chalk out the plan for becoming one of the best institutes of business in India by increasing research supportability and quality. Mr Janat Shah, who is the Director of IIT Udaipur has informed that the institute is working to prepare a new programme on analytics and new technologies to make the student understand and capable for working with new and emerging technologies like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain etc which is influencing the lives as well as the businesses in current days.
Mr Shah has revealed the students will be able to apply in the course after a couple of months. The programme will be beneficial for the digital business sectors on a large scale.
While talking about the course infrastructure, the IIM Udaipur director has said that, generally, courses get launched when the institute has all the proper equipment for a course, but this will not be the case here, as the fastly changing new technologies leave the institute with a very less timeframe.
The IIM Udaipur is considered among the top management institutes in India in the area of research. The institute is working to put together a set of faculty, for working with the industry to develop the appropriate course material. The institute has built a research ecosystem where young faculties would carry out researches which will be reviewed by their peers globally.

He added that an advisory council has been set up with market experts and business stalwarts including the founder of Quikr. The advisory committee is working day and night to set up the course curriculum in IIM Udaipur.

IIM-Udaipur, which was set up in 2011 saw an average salary of 13.20 lakh rupees per annum to students during 2019 placements session. The highest domestic offer in the current year went up to 27.5 lakh rupees while the highest overseas offer was 33 lakh rupees, as informed by Mr Shah.
