IIM Visakhapatnam Revises Curriculum, Makes Entrepreneurship a Mandatory Course
- The Entrepreneurship course will help the students to have a detailed insight and understanding of the entrepreneurial world.
- IIM Vizag admissions begin in April 2018.
IIM Visakhapatnam has revised the curriculum of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) course. So far, Entrepreneurship has been an Elective subject in PGP course. From the upcoming academic session, Entrepreneurship will be a compulsory subject in PGP course of IIM Visakhapatnam. The curriculum has been revised considering the fast-changing business environment. Students’ choice and their suggestions were taken while revising the curriculum, and appropriate discussions were conducted before finalising the revised curriculum.

IIM Vizag has already been fostering entrepreneurship culture through its EPIC (Entrepreneurship Passion & Innovation Club). The motive of EPIC is to encourage students to take entrepreneurship as a career option. EPIC is a platform for students with entrepreneurship and innovation zeal. Through this club, students can interact with global entrepreneurs through experiential learnings, live projects, industry visits, business talks, conclaves and guest lectures.
The mandatory entrepreneurship course will help the students to have a detailed insight and understanding of the entrepreneurial world and business environment. The course will motivate the students to become job creators than job seekers. Mentor institute of IIM Vizag, i.e., IIM Bangalore revised the curriculum. The same curriculum applies to IIM Vizag and will come into effect from the next academic session. The new curriculum delivers best business education to students by giving them insight on emerging management issues.

IIM Vizag admissions for the academic session the batch of 2018-20 will begin in April. IIM Bangalore will take the responsibility of conducting admission process. For the first time, a professor from IIT Vizag will represent the interview panel.
