IIMC Admissions 2019: 32 Vacant Seats for Reserved Category Candidates
A total of 32 seats of IIMC are left vacant for SC and ST candidates. The institute will conduct an entrance test and an interview to fill those seats and to select students for its various journalism programmes.
The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is one of the most reputed and prestigious colleges of mass communication in India. Thousands of students who aspire to build a career in journalism or mass communication seek admission in this premier institute every year. IIMC conducts an entrance exam every year for admitting students to its programmes.
In spite of IIMC having concluded their admission process for the batch of 2019-2020, a second opportunity has come up for some students to apply for the offline admissions at the institute. IIMC has already commenced the classes for PG diploma in various courses of journalism that are offered at the institute. However, some seats have been left vacant even after the entire admission process is complete. The institute has opened those vacancies for admitting more students in this second round.
There are a total of 32 reserved seats at IIMC that are vacant for the academic session of 2019-2020. These vacancies are to be filled by admitting students that belong to the ST (Scheduled Tribe) and SC (Scheduled Caste) categories. There are 15 vacancies for SC students and 17 vacancies for ST students in the various PG diploma programmes of IIMC across its six campuses in India.

IIMC conducted an entrance test on 26th August 2019, Monday, to fill these vacancies. The entrance exam will be held at the campuses of IIMC and will begin at 10 a.m. It comprises a written test followed by a personal interview of the applicants.
