IIMs Successfully Place Differently-Abled Students in Top Companies
This year, a total number of five IIMs across the country have placed more than 50 PWD candidates.
Indian Institutes of Management have turned out to be a friendly place for MBA aspirants who are differently-abled. The premier b-schools have been successful in assuring good placements for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD). These institutes are playing a significant role in extending their support to the students from PWD category and given them a chance to excel in their careers.
There are various renowned companies in India, which hire differently-abled graduates from Indian Institutes of Management. These companies offer lucrative roles and job profiles. Most of the PWD category graduates from IIMs have been placed in roles of CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility. The main objective of these companies is to nourish the extensive talent of these candidates. Most of these companies are encouraged by various government initiatives such as Accessible India Campaign.

This year, a total number of five IIMs across the country have placed more than 50 PWD candidates. On the other hand, the salary package offered to these graduates is at par with the packages offered to other graduates. The highest package offered to these candidates is Rs. 20 lakh per annum.

This year, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow placed a total number of six PWD category students in reputed companies like Value Prospects, TCS, Janalakshmi Finance, L’Oreal, Dabur, and Amazon. Paridhi Verma, a 21-year old graduate has been placed in Janalakshmi Bank, who has only 10% vision.
Similarly, Indian Institute of Management, Indore also placed a total number of 18 PWD students in various reputed companies that include Tata Trust, Tata Steel, Tata Power, L&T, Cognizant Business Consulting, Capgemini, and others.
