IISc Bangalore Announces Admissions for its M.Tech Programme 2017

Bangalore-based Indian Institute of Science invites applications for its M.Tech Programme for the session starting from 2017. The admission process for postgraduate programmes is to commence from February 1, 2017, onwards.

Eligibility Criteria for the M.Tech Programme:
- Candidates applying for the course must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent or
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Electronics or
- A master’s degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Mathematical Sciences/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences
- Candidates must qualify in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE 2015/ 2016/ 2017 for M.Tech
Selection Process for M.Tech Programme:
- For the M.Tech Programme, the selection is based on the GATE 2015/ 2016/ 2017 score only
- After screening the GATE score candidates will be called for an aptitude test followed by an interview to be conducted between April 17 and April 19, 2017
- The final selection will be based on performance in the aptitude test as well as the interview of the candidate
Candidates called for the interview will have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation. They have to bring the attested copies of their certificates and mark sheets from SSC to the degree and produce in front of the interview committee members failing to which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. Those candidates from SC/ST/OBC category, Physically Handicapped category and Kashmiri-Migrants must bring their original caste and tribe certificates issued by the competent authority as per the rules of Government of India.

How to Apply for the M.Tech Programme:
Candidates have to apply online from the website of the Insitute. They have to enter all the relevant information in the application form.
