The Indian Institute of Sciences, Banglore, which is one of the leading research institutes in India invites candidates to apply for UG courses for 2020. Candidates who are interested can apply on the official website of IISC.
The institute offers four years Bachelor of Science (research) degree which is designed to focus on core science as well as interdisciplinary topics. Those who successfully completed B.Sc. Research programmes at the university get a chance to further complete a Master of Science degree in the fifth year of study.

IISc. B.Sc (Research) Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have passed Class XII in 2019 or must complete it in 2020.
The main subjects in Class XII must be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science in addition to the main subject are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have obtained 60%/ First Class in Class XII. (relaxation to SC/ ST category.
IISc. B.Sc (Research) Application Form
Following are the steps to apply for the B.Sc (Research) programme at IISc:
Step 1: Fill in the online application form
Visit the official website and fill in the online application form. The application form is available from February 1, 2020.
Step 2: Pay the Application fees
The application fee is INR 500. For SC/ ST and PwD category, the application is INR 250. Payment can be done online using debit / Credit card and it non - refundable
IISc. B.Sc (Research) Selection Process
Selection is merit-based. Following candidates are considered for B.Sc (Research) course at IISc:
Appeared in KVPY-SA in 2018 and selected for Fellowship.
Appeared in KVPY-SB/ KVPY-SXin 2019 and selected for Fellowship.
KVPY-SA (2018) and KVPY-SX (2019) fellowship candidates who got selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC and ST.
Candidates who will appear in IIT- JEE mains 2020 and IIT JEE-Advanced in 2020 and secure minimum of 60% (general), 54 % (EWS), 54% (OBC-NCL).
- Candidates who will appear in NEET- UG 2020 and secure minimum of 60% (General), 54% (EWS), 54 (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PwD) category.
